Hair extensions require special care, which can vary depending on the quality and the method of fixing!
Especially in the areas of hair washing, blow-drying, heat styling, brushing and toning/coloring, you should follow the following care instructions:

Use of CARE PRODUCTS for hair extensions
Take care with care and finishing products that they do not contain alcohol or acid (for example fruit acid)! This makes the bonds porous and can cause strands to fall out. Care products that ensure that your own hair and extensions are cared for properly are Balance-Booster Shampoo and Magic Hair Conditioner.
Hair Extensions WASH
Do not wash your hair upside down with a hair extension, but keep your head upright. Massage the shampoo only lightly into the lengths and the bondings will get stuck. Avoid stressing the bonding points.
In addition, you should not wash your hair immediately after working in bonded extensions, so that the joints are completely hardened.
Haarextensions DRY / BLOW-DRY
Nach dem Haare waschen ist es wichtig, die Verbindungsstellen sofort GANZ trocken zu föhnen. Achte dabei darauf, die Temperatur nicht zu heiß zu wählen. Wir empfehlen eine große Rundbürste. Einzelne Haarpartien kannst du auch nach dem Formen kurz kalt anblasen oder auf der Bürste auskühlen lassen.
Always blow dry in the direction of growth, i.e. towards the tips. Blow-drying against the direction of growth causes the dandruff layer to stand up and the hair to look dry and brittle! Use an attachment that focuses the air jet of the hairdryer.
Haar-Extensions STYING
You can easily style extensions, tape and clip-ins from Mia&Pia. But beware: excessive styling like daily washing, blow-drying or straightening does not only harm the hair quality of your extensions but also your own hair. Also, for tape and bonding extensions, always dry the roots at the joints first and make sure that you don't get to the bonds during heat styling with straightening irons or curling irons, as they will melt and most likely fall out or stick together completely. For tape extensions, never blow-dry too hot directly onto the bonding points or smooth over them, the adhesive strip would soften and swell out of the tapes or the tape would fall out completely. IMPORTANT: Always use a good heat protection spray when working with a straightening iron or curling iron!
Hair Extensions BRUSHING / COMBING
Brush your hair daily with the special extension brush from Mia&Pia. This brush was developed especially for extensions and ensures optimal combing. To avoid tangles, also brush over the joints at the roots.
Tip for Bonding Extensions
If you have bonded extensions, make sure to sort the individual strands regularly. Tie your hair together in the evening or before you go to bed or braid your hair in a braid. During sports, swimming and before you go to sleep, tie your hair together or braid it. This way your hair will not get knotted at night.
We also recommend that you have a cleaning cut at the hairdresser every 4 - 6 weeks. The regular cleaning cuts are a must, because every person loses up to 100 hairs per day - of course they also get stuck at the joints. And matting can occur. To prevent this, your naturally fallen out hair is removed from the bonding during the cleaning cut.
Tip for Clip Extension
CLIPS: If you lightly backcomb your own hair - before the clip is attached - this will result in a better hold. Clip-ins should always be removed before going to bed, as the friction during sleep could damage the hair.
