How do I apply Bonding Extensions?
Step 1 Wash hair:
Before working in a hair extension (both bonded extensions and TAPE-ins) a thorough wash of your own hair is very, very important. For this purpose we recommend you to use a cleansing shampoo. So that all residues of various styling products are removed. And your new dream mane will last as long as possible.
We also ask you to wash the extension strands in advance with a shampoo for extensions (e.g. Mia&Pia shampoo), apply a conditioner, rinse well and dry. Because this way you can check if all hairs are pointing in one direction and avoid matting after the application. In addition, the strands are thus well cared for in advance.
It is important to blow-dry them well afterwards, always from top to bottom and never against the direction of growth. The right blow-drying technique determines whether your extensions remain smooth and silky even after the hair wash.
Step 2 Partition hair:
Before fixing the bonded extensions, the hair chaos must first be sorted. To have a system, rows are divided into straight lines.
Step 3 Pull own hair through shield:
Then select a strand of your own hair and pull it through the Protect-R-Shield using a stem comb or clip.
Step 4 Warm the bonding and place it around the egg hair:
To attach the extension strand to the selected strand of your own hair, heat the bondings. But not in any way. But with the heat tongs. First the bonding is placed on the selected strand of hair. In order to melt the bonding completely, you press lightly with the heat tongs. Then it can be attached to the strand of hair with a simple movement: Simply roll the still warm bonding area back and forth with your index finger and thumb and make sure that it is completely closed. The extension strand is already connected to your own hair.
Make sure you observe the following golden rule: the amount of hair you choose must correspond to the thickness of the extension strand. This means that nothing can happen to your own hair. So pay attention to the balance!
Step 5 Cutting / Styling:
When all the strands are attached, the hairstyle styling begins. For a particularly natural result, cut a continuous transition. And of course you can style your new dream mane the way you like it. Whether curly or smooth - there are no limits to your hairstyle fantasy. Love your hair! And take care of it. Because it is now your own!
